Reflecting on EthCC

The team recently traveled to Brussels to host a full-day side event during the most significant European blockchain conference, EthCC. The venue, the largest rooftop aquaponics farm in Europe, was an idyllic setting.

The day included workshops, networking, and a list of speakers not found anywhere else. Building Network States: Atoms Edition was a massive success.

Keynote

Rob Avis and Marc Ziade kicked off the day with a keynote on Regenerative Network States, which set the tone for the entire event. They discussed how humanity got to this point and how we might begin to build our way out of the global challenges of our time.

Rob’s Workshop

Later, Rob Avis held a fantastic workshop, "Tools and Ideas for Designing Your Regenerative Autonomous Property."

Rob highlighted the need for self-custody of atoms and bits, what an autonomous regenerative property is, how we design these properties, and more.

The workshop was so good it went an hour over the scheduled time. Stay tuned for more workshops coming up at future events!

Looking Ahead! 👀

Over the next several weeks, we will be hosting some exciting events, both virtual and in person.

Virtual

This discussion will explore the metacrisis topic in depth, with an emphasis on how we can build our way through it and what role the Regenerative Network States will play.

July 26th, V DAO is headed down to Nashville, Tennessee, for Bitcoin2024 Nashville.

Once again, we're teaming up with BuildCities for "Building Network States: Bitcoin Edition." This is a free Happy Hour event at a local brewery, focused on growing the V DAO community and connecting with like-minded people in the industry.

This event is an opportunity to connect and discover the unique benefits of Bitcoin mining, including how it could be used to grow food and heat homes.

DAO Update

Events Circle

We are excited to announce that the Events Circle is now up and running. This circle will focus on event coordination and empowering V DAO contributors to host local V Community Meetups in their area.

Circle Coordinator, Tamara Benetti, has experience in project management and brings a range of skills and DAO experience to this role. Reach out if you want to get involved!

Governance Circle

The Governance Circle continues to research various DAO governance structures to develop a governance system within V DAO that is decentralized and simple to use.

Circle Coordinator, John Packel, brings vast DAO experience to the role and is always happy to welcome new circle members. Reach out if you want to become a member of this circle.

Regenerative Resources Pod

The Regenerative Resources Pod is focused on developing a searchable library of curated resources focused on regenerative living. The pod is starting to roll out a Typeform, allowing anyone to submit a resource they feel is valuable and should be added to the library.

Resources can include podcasts, books, blogs, videos, documentaries, etc., with a focus on regenerative living or practices.
