Lunch & Learn Community Food Systems: Calgary Harvest

Last week, we invited Adrian Buckley, 5th World’s RegenLand Designer, to talk about his passion project, Calgary Harvest.

Adrian spoke at length about how Calgary Harvest is building food resiliency and community and working to create a playbook for other cities to follow. With over 12,000 pounds of fruit rescued and distributed last year, learn how Adrian’s project paves the way for other communities to build community food systems from nature’s abundance.

V Community Meetup: Ojai Edition

Over the weekend V DAO had an activation in the Ojai region of SoCal on a regenerative farm.

People from the surrounding area gathered for an intro to permaculture workshop in the morning, learning about the principles that permaculture is built around. Afterward, everyone headed to meet up with another larger regenerative farmers gathering at a nearby farm where over 100 people came together to enjoy a fresh lunch and discuss regenerative living.

The Ojai region is a budding regenerative hub in the making and the perfect location for a V Hub. We can’t wait to see what’s next for the community!

This week on October 15th, V DAO was joined by Jasmine Energy’s CPO, Dalton Combs, to discuss the future of energy.

We explored how solar is driving the decentralization of energy, what the path to energy abundance might look like, and the opportunities that exist in renewable energy markets.

Content Circle

We have some exciting news regarding the Content Circle, we’d like to give a warm welcome to Laila Eiffiong from SheFi.

Laila will be leading V DAO’s efforts on LinkedIn, taking our V DAO Weekly newsletter turning it into a community-led monthly newsletter, and helping us expand into Instagram.

Laila’s skills in content creation, creative writing, and social media marketing will help us expand into other platforms like Instagram and develop a solid strategy for LinkedIn.

Governance Circle ⚖️

The Circle is paving the way for transparent contribution tracking and clear expectations for DAO members. Our task board is in the works and will launch soon.

Get ready to jump in and leverage your skills to contribute and help shape the DAO.

Events Circle 🎊

The Events Circle continues to coordinate a unique, multi-day event for Devcon 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand’s Green Lung. We’ll be opening a Regenerative Network States: Builders Villa, stay tuned for more info coming soon.

The Circle is looking for more individuals who are interested in hosting a V Community Meetup. It’s easy, just fill out a V Community Meetup Proposal and get reimbursed afterward.
